Senior Spring 2025

When & where

Wednesday 23 July 2025 - Wednesday 12 November 2025

• 3 weeks of Pre-Season games to ease into the season and finalise teams. No competition points on offer.
• Competition rounds commence after conclusion of pre-season.
• There is a break from Monday 25/08/2025 - Wednesday 17/09/2025 (inclusive) due to pool maintenance. There will be no training or games on those weeks.
• There is a Fast Fives round on Wednesday 01/10/2025 due to UOW mid session recess (29/09/2025 - 03/10/2025 inclusive). There will be no competition points on offer that week.

Times

• Wednesdays 6:15pm - 8:00pm (games) [23/07/2025 - 08/10/2025; games shift back ~1hr from 15/10/2025 due to Juniors season commencement]
• Mondays 6:30pm - 8:00pm (Match Fit Mondays training block) [28/07/2025 - 18/08/2025]

Cost

Registration fees consist of 3 parts:

• Capitation fee to our peak body, Water Polo NSW (WPNSW). This cost is set independently of the club.
• Capitation fee to our peak body, Water Polo Australia (WPA). This cost is set independently of the club.
• Registration fee to Illawarra Water Polo, this cost is set by the club to cover week-to-week expenses such as pool hire.

The Water Polo NSW (WPNSW) and Water Polo Australia (WPA) season runs from 01 September to 31 August each year. The WPNSW and WPA season rollover from 2024-2025 to 2025-2025 occurs partway through our Senior Spring season. 

All players will be required to pay a 2025-2026 WPNSW and WPA capitation fee ($88.96) from 1st September 2025 to continue playing the remainder of the Senior Spring season (24/09/2025 - 12/11/2025). Though disruptive, this is necessary to ensure all players are adequately insured.

Which registration type to choose

• Senior 'Come & Try': for players new to Illawarra Water Polo. Select 'full membership' when registering
• Senior Spring 2025 - continuing: for players who played the first half of Senior Spring 2025. Select 'game membership' when registering
• Senior Spring 2025 - late starter: for players who did not play the first half of Senior Spring 2025. Select 'game membership' when registering

Registration fees for the tail end of the Senior Spring 2025 season are therefore as follows:

* Discounts are available for even later starters

Registration fees ensure that all players are adequately insured. We will be enforcing a 'no pay, no play' policy.

Note: If you complete the 2 week trial and want to keep on playing, you will need to upgrade to the 'late starter' registration option.
